We are looking for a postdoc to support on-going projects in the lab and lead a new project centered on larval developmental plasticity. Care will be taken to ensure the candidate’s role on on-going projects aligns with the candidate’s career goals. Tasks include tissue sample preparation, molecular biology (nucleic acid extraction, qPCR and PCR), physiological analyses of lipids and proteins, and data analysis and manuscript writing. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, teamwork, and data analysis skills, and lab skills transferable to the above approaches and assays. Some experience with large-scale genomics analyses and/or associated skills (coding, using remote computer clusters, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, whole-genome sequencing, etc.) would be useful but is not required. This is an ideal position for someone looking to not only develop an independent project, but also contribute their advanced skills to successful projects and quickly improve their research and publication output. This position is available as of April 1 2023, and the start-date is negotiable.
